The company was founded in 1996 by Imran Karolia, a dedicated and experienced electrician who previously worked at Eskom.  Mr Karolia is a home grown industry professional who started BK from humble beginnings with limited space and limited stock, but with lots of vigour and steadfastness.He had an uncanny  vision to set an industry benchmark for outstanding customer service in the South African electrical wholesale sector.


Today, BK is a market leader in its field with an extensive customer  network, with a focus on market-specific objectives, quality products and efficient customer-centric solutions . BK has a privileged record when it comes to strengthening its customers competitive edge in their respective markets. BK vaunts a very pertinent  history within the Benoni Community. From the early initial stages of BK and with the recent addition of TAS, BK is fast becoming a true national electrical distributor that can reach most cities and towns within South Africa.


BK has supplied products to the trade and retail sectors  throughout Benoni, Ekurhuleni and beyond. The name BK has also become synonymous  with lighting and today it is a fundamental strength of the business.


In 1996, BK Electrical was created at a time when the market demanded the likes of a specialist electrician and a wholesale supplier. This unique blend resulted in Mr Karolia  thriving in a harsh environment  which brought a new dimension to the marketplace. BK quickly grew market share and became a well recognised and respected business entity.
